FS International at Asia Pacific Rail 2020

13 November 2020

FS International joined Asia Pacific Rail 2020 (10 to 12 November, 2020) presenting its innovative approach on integrated mobility solutions for the region’s transport issues. “Focus on the passenger – improving the passenger journey through digitalization” was one of the major panels to which FS International contributed with its vision of railways as the backbone of an integrated multi-modal mobility system.

The role of technology is critical to achieve sustainable mobility and digitalization is an amazing tool to deliver an efficient and safe transport system - highlighted Nino Cingolani, Managing Director at FS Italian Railways Saudi Arabia and Head of APAC Region at FS International.

Asia Pacific remains a key area for FS International, as the first region in the world that combines economic growth (+8% in 2021) and rail market development (about 80,000 km of rail projects either planned or under construction).

In Thailand, FS International was awarded by Eastern High-Speed Rail Linking Three Airports Co Ltd as Operation & Maintenance Contractor of the homonymous project, representing the main infrastructure project of the Eastern Economic Corridor (ECC). Many other important opportunities are being monitored in Asia Pacific countries such as India, Philippines, Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia.
