Trenitalia France

 

Trenitalia France, the first alternative passenger rail operator in France, providing connections with Italy, was established with the aim of entering the high-speed business.

Since December 2021, in partnership with Trenitalia, it has been providing daily return connections between Paris and Milan (via Lyon, Chambery, Modane and Turin) and between Paris and Lyon with its Frecciarossa high-speed trains. In June 2025, it expanded its network by launching a new connection between Paris and Marseille.

ILSA

 

In 2019, the ILSA consortium (in which FS holds a 51% stake, Spanish airline Air Nostrum - through its subsidiary Operador Ferroviario de Levante SL OFL - 25% and Spanish infrastructure multinational Globalvia 24%) was selected by infrastructure manager ADIF as the first private operator authorised to enter the Spanish high-speed rail market

The connections provided by ILSA, launched in November 2022 under the Iryo brand and with a fleet of new Frecciarossa trains, cover the Madrid–Barcelona, Madrid-Valencia, Madrid-Alicante and Madrid–Malaga/Seville routes.

With a view to supporting intermodality, the Company has launched a multimodal platform (Iryo-Conecta) that allows users to book hundreds of different itineraries, combining rail, bus, flight and ferry services, thus facilitating travel to multiple destinations in Spain and abroad.
