Bus drivers in the Netherlands were awarded as “South Hollanders of the Year” at the province’s New Year’s ceremony, marking the first time the award went to a professional group.
Some of our Qbuzz colleagues attended the event, which celebrated the vital role they play in connecting towns and cities and in ensuring daily accessibility for thousands of people.
Qbuzz was very proud of its team, and emphasised that drivers, schedulers, mechanics and support staff work together to provide a reliable service, with fewer cancellations and greater passenger satisfaction.
Jan Vink, Director of the ZHN concession at Qbuzz, highlighted how much teamwork and dedication can positively affect the passengers’ experience. The King’s Commissioner, Wouter Kolff, described bus drivers as “a symbol of the strength of South Holland.”
The award recognises the people who work every day to provide excellent public transport and to make connections across all regions possible.
