On 24 and 25 March 2026, FS Italiane Group welcomed a delegation from KORAIL (Korea Railroad Corporation), South Korea’s leading railway operator, which is keen to initiate technical discussions with a view to identifying potential areas for strategic collaboration.
The visit, organised by FS International, began at Roma Termini station with a tour of the retail areas led by GS Rail, and continued with a technical visit to the routine maintenance depot (IMC) for high-speed trains at Roma San Lorenzo. The programme concluded at Villa Patrizi with a working session focusing on the FS Group’s activities and best practices, with contributions from Trenitalia and representatives of FS Holding.
During the meetings, the KORAIL delegation expressed genuine interest in establishing future partnerships in the field of training, particularly in the areas of maintenance and engineering. The possibility of organising further technical workshops on hydrogen propulsion systems was also explored.
The visit provided an important opportunity for international railway operators to exchange views and laid the foundations for the development of partnerships and joint projects between the FS Group and KORAIL.
