On 23 and 24 April 2026, FS Italiane Group welcomed a delegation from Jernhusen, a Swedish state-owned company that manages and develops railway stations.
The visit, organised by FS International, provided an important opportunity for discussion on station management and related commercial issues, and focused especially on how to optimise spaces, develop assets and boost the customer experience.
In this special opportunity for discussion, RFI presented its strategic rail network and passenger service management model, and GS Rail outlined the range of services it offers to customers, during a visit to the Roma Termini station.
On board a Frecciarossa 1000, the delegation embarked on a technical tour of the driver’s cab, and reached the Milano Centrale and Milano Porta Garibaldi stations. There, Trenitalia presented its operational and crew management models, while RFI provided an insightful look into control room operations, offering the guests a comprehensive overview of the Italian rail system.
The initiative was the perfect circumstance to exchange best practices and strengthen international dialogue on the railway sector.
