At InnoTrans 2026, the leading international railway industry exhibition in Berlin, FS International presented its vision for growth in Europe, aimed at strengthening its presence across key markets and contributing to the development of a more integrated and sustainable rail network.
During the event, Luigi Corradi, CEO of FS International, reaffirmed the Group’s ambition to strengthen its role in the European high-speed rail market through a growth strategy built on solid foundations. The long-term vision remains the creation of a true “Metro of Europe”: an integrated network connecting the continent’s major cities through efficient, sustainable, and competitive rail services.
Today, FS International operates in six European markets, namely France, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom, across four business areas: High-Speed Rail, Regulated Rail Transport, Urban Mobility, and Advisory. This international footprint is built on operating companies including iryo, Netinera Deutschland, Trenitalia France, Hellenic Train, and Qbuzz, which provide mobility services to millions of passengers every day. It is further complemented by FS Advisory, the Group’s London-based advisory company specializing in mobility and railway transport.
The Group’s priority is to consolidate and strengthen its established positions by leveraging deep market knowledge, strong industrial partnerships, and the Frecciarossa, a train designed from the outset to operate beyond national borders. In this journey, Germany is set to play a pivotal role in the next phase of growth. Through its collaboration with Deutsche Bahn and its established presence in the country, FS International aims to develop new services and connections, progressively advancing European rail integration. Among its strategic initiatives is also the project to launch high-speed services between Paris and London, one of Europe’s most important rail corridors, while continuing to look beyond individual national markets.
Completing this strategy is FS Advisory, which combines the expertise developed across the FS Group with a broad ecosystem of industrial and academic partners. By supporting governments, transport authorities, operators, investors, and industrial partners in the delivery of mobility projects worldwide, FS Advisory helps export Italian railway excellence and know-how to international markets, further strengthening FS International’s role in the global mobility sector.
